Step into the ancient origin of coffee with our The Birthplace Bloom Ethiopia Natural Roast 🇪🇹 . Sourced from the birthplace of Arabica, this coffee delivers a complex, wildly fruity, and intensely aromatic experience that beautifully defines the traditional Ethiopian cup.

This magnificent coffee is meticulously ethically sourced from smallholder farmers in the renowned Sidama Zone of Ethiopia's Southern Region. Grown at staggering altitudes between 1,700 and 1,900 meters in the nutrient-dense Nitisols soil, these conditions are ideal for slow maturation and deep flavor development. The coffee consists of Indigenous Heirloom Cultivars, a genetic heritage that yields a unique and highly prized aromatic profile unavailable anywhere else in the world.

What makes this roast so distinctive is the time-honored Full Natural (or "Dry") processing method. After being sorted by hand, the entire cherry is laid out to dry in the sun on raised beds for weeks. This allows the fruit pulp to slowly impart its intense, sugary essence into the bean, creating a wildly complex and sweet flavor profile.

We apply a precise freshly roasted Medium-Light profile to this coffee, intentionally chosen to preserve the delicate fruity acids and intense aromatics that the natural process creates. The result is a luminous and vibrant Tasting Profile:

  • Milk Chocolate: A sweet, creamy cocoa undertone provides a comforting base.
  • Fruity: An undeniable burst of bright, sweet, jammy fruit—often evoking blueberries or stone fruit.
  • Caramel: A foundational, gooey sweetness that ties the fruit and chocolate notes together beautifully.

The Birthplace Bloom is a classic example of Ethiopian coffee at its peak: winey, complex, and full of character. By choosing this offering, you are supporting the traditional methods and dedicated growers in Sidama, reinforcing our commitment to ethically sourced excellence.
