The beans are grown by dedicated smallholder farmers at high altitudes of 1,200 to 1,600 meters in the fertile, mineral-rich Volcanic Loam soil surrounding Mount Batur. This unique terroir imparts a distinct, clean flavor that is characteristic of the region.

Our selection of traditional Balinese varietals—Bourbon, Typica, and Catimor—are painstakingly hand-picked at peak ripeness. They undergo a specialized process that combines the regional method of wet-hulling (similar to the famous Sumatran method, but with less intense earthiness) and are finished by being dried on raised beds. This ensures a syrupy body while maintaining a beautiful clarity.
