The Andean Retreat Peru Decaf Roast 🌄
Our The Andean Retreat Peru Decaf Roast 🌄 allows you to enjoy the elegant charm of the Andes anytime of day, without the caffeine. Finally, a decaf that sacrifices absolutely nothing in flavor, body, or complexity.
This exceptional coffee begins its life in the majestic highlands of Piura and Amazonas, Peru, where it is ethically sourced from the renowned Cooperativa Agrícola de Servicios Norandino. Grown at high altitudes of 1,100 to 1,700 meters in fertile Clay Minerals soil, the mix of Caturra, Bourbon, Catuai, Pache, and Catimor varietals yields a naturally sweet and complex bean.
The beans are initially gully washed and sun dried, a meticulous process that establishes their clean, bright foundation. However, what truly sets this coffee apart is the decaffeination method: it is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process. This 100% chemical-free method gently removes 99.9% of the caffeine using only water, heat, and time, ensuring that the coffee's original integrity and delicate flavor notes are perfectly preserved.
We apply a meticulous freshly roasted Medium profile to this decaf, enhancing the inherent sweetness and smooth mouthfeel. The result is a cup that defies the typical expectations of decaf, offering a luminous Tasting Profile:
- Caramel: A deep, satisfying sweetness that provides warmth and comfort.
- Smooth: A velvety, luxurious body that makes for an exceptionally easy-drinking experience.
- Citrus: A subtle, refreshing hint of brightness that keeps the cup lively and sparkling.
By partnering with the Norandino cooperative, we ensure this coffee is not only delicious but also supports sustainable, ethically sourced farming practices that benefit the hard-working growers in the Andean foothills. Enjoy the clean taste, the rich body, and the peace of mind that comes with a truly exceptional, naturally processed decaf.
